United Way Honors 37 Summer Youth Employees

The United Way of Greater New Bedford is honoring 37 summer youth employees who have worked all summer at a dozen non-profit agencies in the area. 

Sabrina Campbell of New Bedford graduated this year from New Bedford High School.  She was a member of a Drama Club there, and was delighted to work this summer at an arts center Downtown...

 In addition to working with others on performing arts and music, she also spent time upgrading her organizational skills, which she admitted needed some work. 

At a luncheon on Wednesday, Sabrina was named the Summer Fund Superstar for 2013, earning a plaque and a $500 scholarship. 

Sabrina plans to attend Bristol Community College in the fall, and remain involved with theatre arts.
