The United Nations Foundation and Talkers Magazine are hosting their annual "Talk Radio Day" at the UN. Radio talk show host from around the country will be airing their shows from 'broadcast row' and WBSM will be participating by airing special live interviews Thursday.

Although I won't be on location this year, Talk Radio News Service has agreed to set up four interviews with UN Ambassadors and officials, offering listeners first-hand accounts about the work of the United Nations. The interviews will be live and broadcast over AM 1420 WBSM between 10 am and 11:30 am.

Listeners will learn about the day-to-day operations of the UN, with topics ranging from massive humanitarian relief efforts, the UN's role in combating poverty and improving the health and living standards for millions, to peacekeeping missions around the globe.
