Unarmed Robbery Suspect Arrested In Wareham

Wareham Police have arrested a suspect in an unarmed robbery who attempted to avoid detection by hiding in a dumpster.

Chief Kevin Walsh says the robbery happened Monday night in the parking lot of a Salvation Army Store on Cranberry Highway.

A woman told police a man attempted to steal her pocketbook then pushed her to the ground. Police say the woman sustained some minor injuries.

Police scoured the area, and spotted 39 year old Brian Randall, who was attempting to hide in a business dumpster.

Randall was arrested and charged with unarmed robbery and assault with intent to rob.
