UMass President Salutes Graduates On The Southcoast

The President of the University of Massachusetts system is highlighting the accomplishments of alumni during this year's bus tour around the state.

Robert Caret stopped at Tia Maria's Cafe in New Bedford's Historic District on Wednesday, owned and operated by UMass Dartmouth graduate Jessica Coelho.

She opened the coffee shop and restaurant just over a year ago.....

Coelho strongly believes the business courses she took at UMass Dartmouth helped her to prepare a business plan and marketing strategy for her business.

Tia Maria's opened in September, 2013
