UMass Dartmouth celebrates the latest addition to it's campus-wide Living Gallery Project.

The University unveiled a colorful and vibrant 48'x12' mural on the exterior of the campus center.

UMass Dartmouth Chancellor Divina Grossman calls the mural a game-changer. "Not only because of it's sheer size, but because of what it represents: the link among our past, our present, and our future, and the future of our University and our planet for generations to come," said Grossman.

The mural, entitled The Fabric of Nature and Industry, was designed by Portland, Oregon artist Angelina Marino Heidel. Marino Heidel says the piece is meant to show the relationship between nature and industry, and is not necessarily a political statement. "But (it's) just to get people thinking about how that impacts their own life. Just to remind them that they should be thinking about the impact of industry on nature," said Marino Heidel.

Marino Heidel began work on the mural after being chosen as the preferred artist by the University in May.
