The newly renovated Claire T. Carney Library at UMass Dartmouth is opening to the public today.

All five floors of the library have been completely made over with new carpeting, furniture, and shelves, providing a relaxed, quiet setting for students to work.

UMass Dartmouth spokesman John Hoey tells WBSM News, the library is fully loaded with technology.

Hoey says the library also sports group study centers, and peaceful panoramic views of the Southcoast.

Hoey says work is still ongoing for the new addition to the Claire T. Carney Library, which should be completed by the start of the Spring semester.
