Two Rehoboth Police cruisers were damaged after they were struck by an alleged drunk driver Sunday night.

Rehoboth Police say that at around 6:09 p.m. two officers were directing traffic around a downed tree near Wilmarth Bridge Rd. when a Nissan Pickup truck struck one cruiser from behind driving it into the second cruiser.

No injuries were reported, but one cruiser sustained "moderate to major damage" while the second cruiser sustained minor damage.

Police say the driver, identified as Kolby Simmons of North Attleboro, was arrested after a brief investigation on charges of OUI Alcohol and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
