Two New Bedford Men Charged with Possession of Crack

NEW BEDFORD — While on a routine patrol on Tallman Street late Sunday afternoon, New Bedford police officers saw two men acting suspiciously and trying to avoid being seen by the officers.

After further investigation, police found drug paraphernalia and a small amount of crack cocaine on the two men.

Arrested were Anthony Barboza, 50, of 848 Mt. Pleasant Street, New Bedford, and Paul Barboza, 53, of 42 Caroline Street.

Both men were charged with possession of crack cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
