Two Hospitalized In Hathaway Road Crash

Two people were taken to Rhode Island Hospital following a two car crash in New Bedford.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says the accident occurred shortly before 12 p.m.Thursday on Hathaway Rd. near the Route 140 exit.

The two victims are described as a female with facial lacerations and a male with leg injuries.

Crews did close down a section of Hathaway Rd. but Vicente says the scene has since been reopened.
