TAUNTON, Mass. (AP) — Two Massachusetts men have drowned in unrelated accidents over the weekend.

Authorities say a 69-year-old man from Taunton died after his canoe capsized on Curlew Pond in Myles Standish State Forest in Plymouth late Sunday morning.

The man was taken to Beth Israel Hospital in Plymouth where he was pronounced dead. His name was not made public.

Police say a 56-year-old man died after being pulled from a swimming pool at a Bridgewater apartment on Saturday afternoon. The victim, William Tenney, was pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Police say he lived at the apartment complex.

Both deaths remain under investigation.
