Two City Men Charged In A-T-M Robberies

Two New Bedford men have been charged with committing two armed robberies at an A-T-M machine off Cove Road. 

Police say the robberies took place last Thursday, and Sunday night.  In each case, the victim was forced back into the vestibule at knifepoint, and ordered to withdraw more money.

Det. Captain Steve Vicente tells WBSM News, local and state police Wednesday morning arrested 18 year old Flavio Issac Alverez, and 18 year old Scott Gonzalez Jr., both of New Bedford, without incident. 

Both were charged with two counts of armed robbery, and will appear in New Bedford District Court.
