Two Arrested in New Bedford Drug Raid

Two New Bedford men are arrested after police conduct a drug raid.

Detective Capt. Steven Vicente say police raided an apartment at 20 Roosevelt Street Tuesday night, and found 22 strips of Suboxone, 11 bags of cocaine, eight Percocet pills, and $434 in cash.

31-year-old Giovanni Cruz and 33-year-old Juan Carlos Ocasio Santos face charges of unlawful possession with intent to distribute Suboxone, unlawful possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Cruz faces an additional charge of unlawful possession with intent to distribute Percocets.

They were both arraigned in New Bedford District Court.
