Fairhaven Police have charged two Fall River men with stealing money from a depository box at a local church.

The theft was reported Tuesday at St. Mary's Church on Main Street.  Investigators say the box, labeled "Needy Family Fund" had been broken into and damaged.

In talking with neighbors, Police put together a description of suspects and a suspicious vehicle in the area.  That description was broadcast, and the car was soon located by Acushnet Police.

Two occupants in the car were taken into custody, and Police recovered about $300 in cash.  Arrested was 24 year old Justin Lucas, and 24 year old Brandon Dubois, both of Fall River.

They're charged with breaking and entering, larceny from a building, and possession of burglary tools.
