Two Arrested for Trespassing, Breaking into New Bedford Apartment

NEW BEDFORD — Two New Bedford men are arrested after they are found in someone else's apartment.

Police responded shortly before 2:30 a.m. Thursday to a report that an apartment had been broken into. Further investigation located two people who were in an apartment where they did not belong. The door to the building and to the apartment were damaged.

Police charged Kyle Dawson, 22, of 28 Bentley St. Apt. 1st, New Bedford, with breaking and entering for a misdemeanor, vandalizing property and trespassing.

Anthony Garcia, 23, of 377 S. Second St. Apt. 2, New Bedford, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, trespassing, vandalizing property and breaking and entering for a misdemeanor. A small amount of crack cocaine and heroin was found in his possession.
