Twin Rivers Fire

A Massachusetts man has been charged with arson in connection with a fire that damaged several video lottery terminals at a Rhode Island casino. Lincoln, R I Police Chief Brian Sullivan says that Abdullah Alkhouri of Tewksbury was playing the terminals at the Twin River Casino on Feb. 10 when he lit a cigarette and threw a match in between the machines. Sullivan says the incident was recorded on surveillance video. Alkhouri was arraigned on a fourth-degree arson charge in District Court in Warwick. He was released on $5,000 bail and was ordered to return to court April 15.
