Officials say at least 20 hostages died in a militant attack on a restaurant in Bangladesh

Police stormed the upscale Dhaka restaurant killing at least six attackers and rescuing 13 hostages. The Islamic State group claims responsibility, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors jihadi activity online.

The attack also left at least two police officers dead and dozens wounded.

Lt. Col. Tuhin Mohammad Masud told The Associated Press that some militants were captured. (Associated Press)
