Turtle Causes Three-Car Accident

Getty Images

Police are blaming a turtle for a recent three-car accident in New Jersey. Miguel Higgins was driving in Galloway Township Wednesday night when he spotted the slow reptile on the road. When he slowed to avoid the turtle, police say he was struck from behind by a car driven by Dominique Flipping. That pushed Higgins into the next lane, causing him to hit a third car. No one was seriously injured and Higgins was issued a summons for careless driving. Meanwhile, the turtle was found by police under one of the cars and was rerleased back into the woods.
