President Trump has triggered his critics—again. This time the Junk Food Junkie-in-Chief served up a heapin' helpin' of burgers, fries, and pizza to the college football champion Clemson Tigers.

Trump not only paid for the eats out of pocket but had them served up by candlelight, with real tablecloths and fancy china in the State Dining Room at the White House. As you can imagine, that went up there sideways with some Trump critics who already believe the president to be a rube and an uncivilized, backward and uncouth Neanderthal.

It was Clemson's second consecutive trip to see the White House and the players seemed to enjoy the spread. Photos posted online show many of them inhaling the burgers from McDonald's and Wendy's.

It ain't easy being Trump, so he just enjoys getting under the skin of his adversaries.

The thing about it is that Trump would have been hammered if he had presented a formal dinner while the government is shut down, so why not play it for fun? Besides, much of the kitchen staff are furloughed as a result of the shutdown and Nick Mulvaney doesn't look good in an apron.

Gotta give Trump one for creativity.
