It was an event worthy of pay-per-view, yet it was there for the whole world to see. President Donald Trump, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer wrestling in the swamp on LIVE TV!

Now, this is the way that government should work. Pelosi and Schumer went to the White House expecting to dictate to Trump, but the president, being twice as smart as the two of them combined, quickly took control by allowing the press to broadcast the event live.

Trump knew the only way he can win on the border wall funding issue is to let the public hear the argument and not rely on some biased media version of events. In other words, he controlled the message. Vice President Mike Pence sat stunned while taking it all in. What a show. What a way to debate an issue. Why don't we do this all the time?

Pelosi so much as begged Trump to boot the press, but Trump understands politics and he understands entertainment, and he knew that by allowing the cameras to remain in the room the public would get a real look at what our elected officials are up to.

I think Trump should make live televised policy debates with the Democrats a regular weekly event. Perhaps if more Americans understood how the sausage was being stuffed, we might get more accomplished in the swamp.
