Triple E Infected Mosquitoes Found In Tiverton, Rhode Island

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management has confirmed that Eastern Equine Encephalitis has been found in mosquitoes trapped last week in Tiverton.  The infected species bites birds and people.  So far this season six pools of mosquitoes have tested positive for Triple E, and five pools have been positive for West Nile Virus.  The threat from infected mosquitoes will remain until first hard frost.
