Tragedies Also Bring Us Closer Together

When a catastrophe hits, like the recent Boston Marathon bombings, one of the silver linings is how we rethink the blessings we have.

The greatest gift, of course, is our family, our children and grandchildren. As we keep in our prayers those families who have lost loved ones, I want to pass along a simple suggestion. Find a photo of your kids and stick it to the front of your refrigerator door. You'll be amazed how a simple picture can remind us of how lucky we are, everyday.

And since this is a radio blog, I'm posting a WBSM photo of my 14 year old granddaughter, Aleksis, who is a chip off her Papou's block!
