Townsquare Sunday: Michael Conceicao’s CV Honor Roll

Cape Verde obtained its independence from Portugal more than 40 years ago. Since that time, New Bedford's Cape Verdean Community celebrated that notable achievement every year with a parade in early July and celebration centered around the Verdean Vets Hall on Purchase Street. Heading the Entertainment Committee is Mike Conceicao, who is working to make this year's celebration bigger and better than ever. Mike and Carl Pires join Kasey Silvia on Townsquare Sunday to talk about the honor roll award winners, run down the guest list, and what makes this celebration so special.
