The new Wood School construction project in Fairhaven is moving forward with the traditional topping off ceremony held Thursday with the last 12 foot long steel beam in place. Project Superintendent Richard Senna, a former student of the Wood School ,says the crew is working on an accelerated pace in order to get the school ready for the next academic year in September.

Some 450 Oxford and Rogers elementary school students, who will attend the Wood School next year,  signed two tube beams that will be installed and visible in the library.
