Top Ten New Bedford High School Grads Honored By Mayor Mitchell

Mayor Jon Mitchell honored the top ten ranked graduating seniors at New Bedford High School during a ceremony Wednesday at the downtown Art Museum. 

The ten students received the first ever, "Mayor's List" awards for their academic acheivement.

Caitlin Hills is ranked number one in the Class of  2013.  She'll be attending Columbia University to study neuroscience and behavior.

Caitlin says she hopes to become a neurosurgeon and open a practice in New Bedford.

Mayor Mitchell says each of the ten students deserve to take a bow for their pursuit of excellence and the examples they've set for younger students
