Top-Earning State Employees Dwarf Governor’s Paycheck
An advisory board recommends increasing the Massachusetts governor's annual pay to $250,000 while also giving sizable raises to other statewide officials and top legislative leaders. The Special Advisory Commission on Public Compensation says the governor's pay should increase from $151,800 to $185,000 plus a new, yearly $65,000 housing allowance.
