Toddler Killed in Apparent Accident in Acushnet Identified

The three-year-old girl killed in an apparent accident in Acushnet has been identified.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office says the child, Victoria Varieur, was killed when the car her father was repairing rolled onto her.

A preliminary investigation indicates the victim's father had been making repairs to his Ford Excursion in the driveway of 13 Jean Street late Tuesday morning when the vehicle rolled down the driveway, striking and killing Victoria Varieur. The Excursion continued to roll down the driveway, coming to rest against another vehicle parked on the opposite side of Jean Street.

No foul play is suspected. The investigation is ongoing.
