Thursday Morning Accident

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area near Coggeshall St. and Route 18 in New Bedford as emergency crews are on the scene following a two car accident.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says the incident occurred around 8:20 a.m. Thursday and lights are currently not working in that area

Ambulances have been dispatched to the scene but there is no word on injuries at this time.

Vicente says the scene should be cleared in roughly a half hour.
