At least three men in New Bedford overdosed on heroin over the weekend.

New Bedford Detective Captain Steven Vicente tells WBSM News the overdoses were reported to police on Saturday. Vicente says the overdoses took place in private residences on Phillips Road, Maryland Street, and Pleasant Street.

All of the victims were men in their 40s, and were all revived with Narcan and transported to St. Luke's Hospital. Vicente says one of the victims, a 47-year-old man found unresponsive in a Pleasant Street home, had also overdosed the previous Wednesday, receiving a dose of Narcan in that instance as well.
