Three Fall River men are facing charges after allegedly stabbing a man in Swansea and stealing his car early Monday morning.

State Police say they received a 9-1-1 call at around 1:45 a.m. from a Bradford man who said he had been stabbed and thrown from his car on Interstate 195 Eastbound.

The 24-year-old victim told troopers he was driving three men from Rhode Island back to Fall River when an argument ensued and he was stabbed twice and thrown from the car.

He had to roll out of the travel lane to avoid being hit by a passing vehicle.

State Police issued a “BOLO” — or “Be On the LookOut” alert for the 1996 Crown Victoria which was located a short time later on Davol Street in Fall River.

The car as it pulled into a convenience store parking lot and Police found a knife under a floor mat in the back seat during the course of an investigation.

The three occupants of the car, identified as 21-year-old Nathaniel F. Pires, 23-year-old Abner S. Juarez, and 21-year-old Kevin T. Fragoso were charged with Receiving stolen motor vehicle, Assault & battery with dangerous weapon, and Armed carjacking.

State Police say Pires is also facing a charge of Carrying a dangerous weapon.

They were arraigned Monday morning in Fall River District Court.
