My talk shows are always a learning experience. Speaking with the Executive Director of The Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, I learned that just improperly entering the United States, or over staying your visa is mostly a civil violation. It can still be punishable with a deportation order--but as long as there's no other criminal activity associated with entering or over staying, the Immigration and Nationality Act treats this form of immigration as a civil infraction.

All the fuss by President Trump. The fearmongering by Attorney General Sessions. Let me not forget the 2,000 deportations by former Prez Obama. We're going budget buster bonkers over civil infractions??

Can you say glorified trespassing?
