The Red Sox are Hot, The Yankees are Not
I know that the season is only a couple of games old, but this year feels a little different than the past couple with the Red Sox.
When I see the team on the field I see a group of players that take the game seriously and are very professional. I'm sure adding manager John Farrell to the mix helped with that. The Sox look like they are ready for the season and so far so good, they are doing what they are supposed to do, win games against teams that are not as good as them.
I say that knowing the Yankees line-up is riddled with injurys and later in the season they will be back to the team we love to hate. Maybe it's just me, but it seems that the Yankees are expecting to lose these games.
The players don't have the poise and drive that the Red Sox do, knowing that their big bats are out of the line-up they seem to be just going through the motions. I'm sure, being professional baseball players they are not, but it just seems that way.
It's nice to see the Sox start the season 2-0, the first time since the 1999 season, like I said it's only been a couple of games, let's see how things look in a month or two.
