Rob Gronkowski is the New England Patriots most effective weapons, and has been recovering from surgery on both his back and his forearm. Now, with their resources depleted, Gronk could be back on the field for New England this week.

ESPN is reporting that Gronkowski has a 50/50 chance of being back on the field for the Patriots this Sunday. This is good news for the Patriots who have been dealing with injuries with WR Danny Amendola and RB Shane Vereen, who could be out for some time.

Tom Brady told WEEI that Gronkowski being out is like a baseball team missing their ace-pitcher.

Right now the New England Patriots are 2-0, coming off a 13-10 win over the New York Jets. They will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
