How often do you wash your jeans? According to the CEO of iconic jeans-maker Levi Strauss, Chip Bergh, the answer should be almost never.

Speaking at a Fortune magazine conference on Tuesday, Bergh said, "These jeans are maybe a year old and these have yet to see a washing machine. I know that sounds totally disgusting." But he added, "I have yet to get a skin disease or anything else." Bergh explained that rarely washing jeans will help them keep their shape and color, saying, "If you talk to real denim aficionados, they tell you don't wash your blue jeans."

So how are you supposed to keep your jeans fresh without washing them? ABC News says experts recommend eliminating odor by spritzing them with white vinegar or vodka and hanging them out to air dry, or you could also freeze your jeans once a month to kill off the smell caused by bacteria.
