New research finds that people who send the most texts have the most sleep problems.

To find this, researchers from Washington Lee University assessed the sleep quality, cell phone use, and stress levels of participating students. Researchers discovered that students who said they sent the highest number of daily texts had more sleep problems.

Researchers suspect this happens because people who are "addicted" to their phones feel pressured to respond to messages immediately at all times, and as a result sleep with their phone next to them which then wakes them up at night and interrupts sleep.
