The son of a Boston Police Captain arrested for an alleged ISIS terror plot will be held in jail without bond.

Alexander Ciccolo appeared in Federal Court in Springfield, Massachusetts on Tuesday, following his July 4th arrest in connection with the alleged plot to detonate explosives at large gatherings.

Prosecutors showed a video of an FBI interview to the court in which Ciccolo defended beheadings conducted by ISIS and declared Americans "enemies." Ciccolo's lawyer said his client's political views should not be used against him in this case.

The 23-year-old is facing weapons charges that carry up to ten years in prison. (Metro Networks Inc.)
