Teenager Arrested For Fall River Murder

A teenage suspect has been arrested in connection with a homicide in Fall River Monday night.

Gregg Miliote, a spokesman with the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office says that 16-year-old Joel Lopez, of Fall River, was arrested Tuesday afternoon inside an apartment on Pleasant St. in Fall River.

Lopez is facing murder charges in the death of 29-year-old Jerrod Cohen who was found lying in the landing of the first floor of an apartment complex at 129 Plain St. around 9:30 p.m.

Cohen was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Miliote said that he might be arraigned on Tuesday and that the investigation is extremely active and ongoing
