Teen Boy Struck By Motor Vehicle in Taunton

TAUNTON — Taunton Police are investigating after a 15-year-old boy on a bicycle is struck by a motor vehicle.

On Tuesday July 10 at approximately 12:41 p.m., the Taunton Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Dean Street and Longmeadow Road.

An initial investigation determined that a minivan was traveling west on Dean Street when it collided with a 15-year-old boy riding a bicycle north in the intersection.

The boy on the bicycle was transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries.

The Taunton Police Department would like to thank the three members of the community, with medical training, that stopped to assist.
