Teen Arrested In Danvers Teacher’s Murder

A 14-year-old student is being held in the murder of a high school teacher in the Boston suburb of Danvers. Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett says the teen was arrested after the body of 24-year-old math teacher, Colleen Ritzer, was found in a wooded area near the school last night. The unnamed student is scheduled to be arraigned in Salem juvenile court today on a charge of murder. Police believe it was an isolated incident, but all public schools in Danvers are closed for the day.
