Anyone who took the extension the IRS offered due to the Boston Marathon bombings will have to file their taxes today, or request another extension.

The IRS automatically gave residents of Suffolk County and others affected by the April 15th explosions a three-month extension in the week after the bombs went off. However, returns must be filed by today or a second extension requested.

The tax agency says it will grant an extension until October 15th if requested by eligible local residents.
