TAUNTON - A homeless man has been arrested at a Taunton storage facility in connection with the theft of at least one gun.

Taunton Police say 52-year-old Patrick Richards was arrested this week on an outstanding warrant after his girlfriend tipped off police that he had stolen a gun from a nearby storage unit. Police recovered the gun.

Richards and his girlfriend and her son had been apparently living in one of the storage units at Compass Self Storage.

Police say the owner of the gun says five other firearms are still missing from his storage unit.

The woman and her son have been told to vacate the unit they had been living in.
