Taunton Republican State Representative Shaunna O'Connell has served the 3rd Bristol District and the Commonwealth well since being elected in a stunning defeat of entrenched Democrat James H. Fagen in 2010 and should be re-elected this Fall.

O'Connell, who faces a challenge from incumbent Taunton City Councilor Estele Borges has been a strong voice for Massachusetts taxpayers in her three terms on Beacon Hill, battling against tax increases, welfare cheats, EBT abuse and government fraud.  O'Connell has showed a relentless spirit in taking on the legislative leadership and never backed down against the corrupt former Patrick Administration no matter how hard it pushed back.

Shuanna O'Connell's fight to reform the EBT system drew the attention of national media figures such as The Fox News Network's Bill O'Reilly  and others.  Her leadership defeated efforts to increase the gas tax annually without state lawmakers ever even having to vote on it or being held accountable.

Shaunna O'Connell is a parent of school aged children, a wife and a homeowner and understands the crippling burden that high taxes and regulations have placed upon Massachusetts families and business owners.  She is one of us.

Shaunna O'Connell has the full weight of the Democrat hierarchy on Beacon Hill working against her re-election effort because they know that Shaunna refuses to accept business as usual and is fighting for change and relief for the taxpayer.

Just say "no" to Speaker Pro-Tempore Patricia Haddad and Senator Marc Pacheco when they try to convince you that Taunton and Massachusetts would be better off without Shuanna O'Connell on Beacon Hill and better for having another liberal Democrat there instead.

Borges has not made a case for why O'Connell should be replaced.  Voters in the 3rd Bristol District should turn out in droves on November 8th to re-elect Shaunna O'Connell to the Massachusetts Legislature.
