Tanya Singleton Receives Probation

The cousin of former Patriots player Aaron Hernandez has been sentenced to two years probation and one year home confinement.

Tanya Singleton refused to testify before a grand jury investigating Hernandez's alleged role in the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Prosecutors agreed to the home confinement because Singleton is battling breast cancer.  The judge said if it were not for the cancer she would be headed to jail.

Hernandez has been charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd, and the trial is scheduled for January.  (Metro Networks Inc.)
