Christmas is over, and the realization that Winter is a very ugly season is hitting us again. Snow dumped across the Midwest and Northeast, plus heavy winds and rain on the coast on Massachusetts.

The Midwest saw over 16 inches of snow, and as a result of the weather, some 600 car crashes occurred.

A serious problem developed during Thursday's nor'easter with the steeple and siding of the historic First Baptist Church on Williams Street in Downtown New Bedford.

Some are calling this Nor'easter 'Winter Storm Athena', while others are just calling it ugly. Many areas were hit with record snow fall for this time of year.

While it doesn't have quite the impact that Sandy had, this Nor'easter is causing some problems for the surrounding areas of the Southcoast.
