A Quincy store owner has been sentenced to 2 ½ years in jail after pleading guilty to a welfare fraud scheme in which he exchanged food stamps for cash.
Another New Bedford store owner fights back. According to Detective Captain Steve Vicente, a male walked into the J&L Mini Mart on Maxfield Street last night, grabbed the 55-year-old store owner, and threatened him with a knife.
