One Injured In Mattapoisett Crash

An unidentified woman is being treated at St. Lukes hoswpital after the SUV she was driving crashed into a utility pole in the vicinity of 99 Brandt Island Road late Friday afternoon. 

According to witnesses, the pole snapped and the vehicle ended up on its side

New Year Babies Born In New Bedford And Fall River

Update: Fairhaven Woman Arraigned In Hospital After Fatal Crash

 

A Fairhaven woman is arraigned in her hospital room after being involved in a fatal, two car crash early Friday on Route 140 in  New Bedford.

Twenty-six year old Caitlin Chouinard of Adams Street pled not guilty to charges of motor vehicle homocide, operating under the influence of liquor, and negligent operation.

A carjacking suspect has been arraigned on a number of charges in New Bedford District Court on Monday.  
26-year-old Juan Joel Rivera of New Bedford was held on $50,000 bail following his arraignment on charges of armed carjacking, armed robbery, and operating a vehicle with a suspended license
