Mural Chosen For New Bedford Public Art Project

The New Bedford Public Art Committee has selected a mural design to be painted on the walls of the North Front Street overpass.

The committee sifted through a number of submissions, ultimately choosing a design created by New Bedford artist Alex Jardin, a 2007 New Bedford High School graduate

UMass Dartmouth Chancellor Condemns Theft And Vandalism Of Public Art

Those responsible for the theft and vandalism of a public art display at UMass Dartmouth over the weekend remain on the lam.

In an email to students, Chancellor Divina Grossman said a display of sculptured sheep that had been set up by first year students on the campus' quadrangle had been vandalized Friday night, and a black sheep from the display had been stolen
