Wareham Keeps Top Spot With Cranberry Bowl Win Over Old Rochester — Saturday Afternoon Football In Greater New Bedford

In High School Action, the annual Cranberry Bowl was played in Mattapoisett pitting Wareham against Old Rochester. Wareham retained the top spot in the SouthCoast Conference with a 12 to 7 win in a defnsive minded game.

Fairhaven High School Reopens Tuesday

Its back to school Tuesday for students at Fairhaven High School. The school was closed Monday after two teens from Fall River and Freetown allegedly entered the building Sunday afternoon, and opened fire entinguishers in the building, spraying class rooms on the second and third floors.
