Attorney General Maura Healey has issued $1.5 million in penalties to the company that owns Family Dollar stores for allegedly violating labor laws on meal breaks in store locations statewide.

The City of New Bedford posted to Facebook a photo of a large trash pile outside the downtown Family Dollar store, noting it was suspending trash pickup there.
