Update: More Info On Fairhaven Boat Fire

Fire Destroys Fairhaven Home

 

A unoccupied home on 36 Nelson Ave on Wilbur's Point in Fairhaven was totally destroyed by a fire early Monday.

The single family home was being renovated and the occupants, Thomas and Mary Lou Rossi were away.

Fairhaven Firefighters Conduct Rescue Training Inside Wind Turbine

Fairhaven Firefighters conducted a training session on Friday inside one of the town's two wind turbines. 

Public Information Officer Wayne Oliveira says firefighters climbed the 280 foot ladder inside the turbine to the generator room at the tip of the tower, learning how to evacuate workers should one become injured on the job
