Theme For 2014 Moby Dick Marathon Is Education

 

New Bedford Superintendent Dr. Pia Durkin kicked off the 2014 Moby Dick Reading Marathon Saturday at the Whaling Museum with the famous words, "Call Me Ishmael. "

Durkin Receives Stakeholders Recommendations for NBHS

 

A local stakeholders group has submitted its recommendations for a turnaround plan for New Bedford High School  to Supt. Dr. Pia Durkin.

Durkin says she appreciated how a culture of excellance resonated throughout the recommendations although she reserved comments on any specifics until she can study them in depth.
